Earth’s changing climate is threatening our food chain in a multitude of ways.

Wine is no exception, and in Tuscany, a dynamic young generation of winemakers is confronting this new challenge in creative ways. Extreme, unpredictable weather puts their livelihoods at risk, and could destroy
thousands of years of tradition. Forced to respond, they must find a solution or lose everything.

A Vintage In Tuscany follows three wineries and their young winemakers as they navigate this perilous journey.

Robin took over his family’s estate in 2018 with the aim of bringing the ancient property into the 21st century. With buildings that date back to the 9th century, and hundreds of acres of vines, it has been a herculean effort - but one he has embraced with energy and vision.

  • Le Miccine

  • Cigliano di Sopra

Maddalena and Matteo met at winemaking school in Florence and quickly recognized in each other kindred spirits who were obsessed with making great wine with no compromises.
